as for hospitalization subsidies, nd din kami totally relient on medisave... we took our own private insurance which can accommodate us sa private hospitals or govt hospitals...

Just think positively, yung CPF could be a forced savings on your part. The good thing is that the employer has a contribution as well. So habang nag-build up yung CPF mo, may corresponding interest dun sao wagi ka talaga. And if ever you decide to settle somewhere else and give up your PRship, makukumo lahat CPF + interest...

Good Luck.... Laughing

dito kasi sa singapore meron silang mga required vaccinations na kelangan ma complete ng mga kids bago sila mag P1... here is the list:

IMMUNISATION REQUIREMENTS

With reference to Singapore's National Childhood Immunisation Schedule, all children should have completed the following immunisations before entry into Primary One:

1. BCG 1 dose (usually given at birth)
2. Diphtheria*, Pertussis &
Tetanus
3 doses (usually given at 3, 4 & 5 months)
+ 1 booster dose (usually given at 18 months)
3. Oral Sabin (immunisation against poliomyelitis)
3 doses (at 3, 4 & 5 months)
+ 1 booster dose (usually given at 18 months)
4. Measles*, mumps, rubella
(MMR) 1 dose (usually given at 1 – 2 years)
5. Hepatitis B 3 doses (usually given at birth, 1 & 5 to 6 months)

(* Immunisation against diphtheria and measles are compulsory by law in Singapore.)

as for the price, nde ko na po matandaan kung magkano basta mura lang pag PR sa polyclinic as long as yung basic vaccinations and not the 5 or 6 in 1 ang kunin mo....

ang CPF kasi gradual ang increase ng contribution mo up to 2nd year ng PRship...

eto baka mas madaling intindihin:

http://mycpf.cpf.gov.sg/Members/Gen-Info/Con-Rates/ContriRa.htm

for the first year as PR, 5% pa lang ang contribution mo..
2nd year as PR, 15% na...
after that 20% na... capped at $4,500 max salary base...
