nagyari na din sa akin yan... nung nag work ako under agency then pagalis ko sa agency nagbayad ako ng tax at binawas sa last pay ko around 1500, then nung nag file na ako ng ITR naka refund ako ng 1100. Tapos nung 2nd job ko direct naman ako sa company nung nag resign ako nde nila ako binawasan ng tax sinabi ko lang sa company na may lilipatan na ako so continue lang ang work ko... ganun yata talaga pag under ka ng agency need mo i settle ang tax pag alis mo...

You need to pay before you leave your ex-employer.

im just sharing my bro experience..sa kanya naka pag start at naibigay na yung new pass nya bago pa nya nalaman na may babayaran syang ganyang kalaking halaga...though prior to that hinold na nung ex company nya yung salary nya just incase na may babayarang tax...

malaki talaga ang babayaran mo since 5months ka lang nag work kasi nde ka pa consider as residence need mo mag work ng 6months or more to be a residence... 15%-20% ata ng gross mo ang magiging tax mo... mukhang maliit pa nga yang 1500...

Tinawagan ko din ang friend ko to ask about this and IRAS..

since 5 months lang ako sa company pero I've been here in SG for total of 8 months including my social visit days.

Puede pala ilipat nalang ang tax ko to my new employer. So no need to pay for tax now simply send IRAS my new employment contract and continue lang daw..

Nagtop up pako hehehe makakuha na nga ng iphone. Thanks sa mga nagreply

nde po kasama ang stay mo as social visit day sa criteria ng IRAS to be consider as residence ka para sa tax... at depende nga po un sa employer mo kung under agency ka nde papayag ang agency mo na nde ma settle muna ako ng tax mo kaya ikakaltas talaga ng agency mo ang tax mo pag alis mo sa kanila... kung direct hire ka ng company pede mong gawin un... unless ikaw ang magsusubmit ng tax clearance mo at nde agency mo which is nde ka naman iaallow ng agency mo...

pag nag-work ka ng less than 6mos... that means hndi ka pa tax resident dito sa SG.. and un binayaran mo na $1400, kung hindi ako nagkakamali ay 15% ng total salary mo in 5mos.. kung pinaabot mo ng at least 6mos (which will consider u as a tax resident) malamang wala ka bayaran na tax kung hndi aabot ang total salary mo ng $20,000... sa pagkakaalam ko mare-refund or ma-carry over mo un binayaran mo sa next year ng bayaran ng tax...

Thank you po sa pag reply, paki tama po ako if mali ang pag kkaintindi ko sa IRAS site. if more than 60days na foreign worker and non-resident eh 15% of your basic ang tax. Let's say 80days na po nag wwork and uuwi na po sa sunday immediate resignation po after makuha salary. Kay employer din po ba issurender ang ICA or kay MOM or pwede kay IO na paglabas ng SG?
