Hi All PSG'ers,

Ask ko lng po kung ano nilagay niyo sa Race and Nationality. Both Filipino po nilagaya ko, tama po ba? And lastly, dapat ba lagyan ko lahat ng N/A characters yung mga boxes na nde naman applicable. Like yung nag ask ng Identification type pero quoted as If Malaysian only, Alias if any, etc... bit funny kasi nakalagay nga if applicable lng di ba. pero curious lng meron ngang nag mention sa office dapat daw may N/A lahat kung nde applicable. Thanks!!!!

code_seeker, yung race refers to our ethnicity at yung nationality pertains to the passport you hold. Kung US-born ka from parents of Filipino descent eh American ang nationality mo pero Filipino ang race mo.

Ganyan din ang case ko nung kumuha ako ng life insurance policy. Sagot ko dun sa agent I belong to the Malay race, sabay nya hindi daw ako mukhang Malay, baka saw Chinese sabi ko lalong hindi...Ang pinagkatapusan, dapat pala sa ating Pinoy for both nationality and race the answer is PILIPINO...Wala na pong iba...

FYI... nakuha ko po kay pareng Wikipedia...

The term Malay is also considered misleading because it gives the impression that the route for the populating of the Philippines was via Malaysia. Current theory holds instead that the Malays who inhabit the rest of the Malay Archipelago and mainland Malaysia are the descendants of Austronesian-speaking immigrants who first went to the Philippines. Then those Austronesian-speaking immigrants ventured further south to what are now Malaysia, Indonesia, and East Timor, as well as to the other Pacific Islands.
